Hello ECPI Scholars
by Joshua Baldwin - Wednesday, 2 October 2013, 02:54 PM

This is notification of an extraordinary scholarship opportunity.

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation is offering up to 75 scholarships each worth up to

$30,000

Do I have your attention?

Here are the requirements: You must be of Sophomore status as of this December, have a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and have an unmet financial need. An unmet financial need is defined as a shortage in funds for your education after your family and income assets are accounted for. That means, for instance, if your educational expenses are covered by the GI Bill, then you DO NOT have an unmet financial need.

It is a two part process. In the first part, you fill out an application online which includes one faculty recommendation. If you make the first cut, then you will enter part two which is more detailed. They will take into account your academic ability, awards, honors, any advanced courses and the rigor of your curriculum. They will ask about appropriate and reasonable goals, your persistence, and desire to help others.

If you meet the above requirements and are interested in applying for this excellent scholarship, please send an email to the faculty contact, Dr. Glenn Corillo at gcorillo@ecpi.edu.

Good luck,
Dr. Corillo
